Good day everyone!
I come with some minor changes. Recently I've been quite busy but yet managed to experiment with boss object. As you can see one the video the boss:
- is attempting to dodge player's bullets with some cooldown
- shoots new type of bullets: homing which are following the player until they expire or hit the wall
- shoots another new type of bullets: big knockbacking which have pretty big kick on the player, but cannot be really used with the dodge to create a player cannon because on hit they consume stamina
Apart from these I am also working on style ranking system similar to Devil May Cry and Ultrakill. It is not on the footage because enemies (which are obviously the main source of the style points) spawns are currently pretty inoperable :>
Also from the design side I am slowly creating a plot and dialogues. The GUI already has it's dialogue displayer and I will be testing it in the next few days.
I have not implemented new spells or guitar picks yet, because I redirected this time to redesign the two currently existing enemies (they literally looked terrible). However I should be able to show you first guitar picks in the next week I believe.
The last new thing is a room cover. Since now the levels will be divided into rooms with separate navigation for enemies (so they won't all catch you in one room) and if you have not entered the room yet it's area will be hidden.
I guess that's everything for now. My development process is kinda chaotic but it works so it's good I think.
